An online learning event hosted by the Tribal Youth Justice Resource Center, in this session, the presenters provided an overview of Compassion fatigue, which is a broadly defined concept that includes emotional, physical & spiritual distress. It is associated with care providers experiencing significant pain and suffering while caregiving. This session has shared strategies to prevent & mitigate the effects.

Content has focused on how tribal courts and other child serving programs can support trauma informed service delivery.

Description: This session was held as part of the 2021 OJJDP Tribal Youth Virtual National Conference. Innovative Strategies- Tribal Youth Courts and Peer-Led Processes.
