The purpose of this 2-part webinar is to equip child-serving professionals with the knowledge and skills to effectively screen children for traumatic stress.
Part 1 covers the importance of early identification of traumatic stress, provide guidelines for establishing an organizational screening process, and help participants choose the appropriate screening tools for their programs.
Part 2 covers best practices for conducting the trauma screening and helpful strategies for interaction with youth and families during the screening. Using the results to make appropriate referrals to trauma-informed services and treatment options and increase skills to communicate with youth and families in a helpful way will be highlighted.
