In our Native ways of being and in working withyouth in our communities, we are driven into thework and action of imagining.Imagining wellness for the youth so they grow intoelder hood. Imagining resources in our communitieswhere youth have access to learning and becomingproficient in both Native cultural arts and non-Native cultural arts. Imagining schools in ourcommunities, funded and staffed at a levelnecessary to support the diverse social, emotional,and academic needs of all youth. Imaginingcommunity Tribal health programs with theresources to be staffed to effectively respond tothe behavioral health needs of our youth. Imaginingthat all youth in our communities feel loved, valued,cherished, nurtured, and supported to hold a visionfor themselves of growing into the future leaders ofour communities. At the 2022 OJJDP Tribal Youth National Conference, participants shared their heartfelt hopes,needs, and imagining for the youth and families they serve. As the Tribal Youth Resource Center Teamof staff and consultants, we stand steadfast in our readiness to utilize all resources at our disposal tosupport your work in implementing the goals and objectives of your OJJDP Juvenile Healing toWellness Courts and Tribal Youth Programs to bring you closer to the imagining you hold for youryouth. We reviewed the evaluations from the National Tribal Youth Conference and immediately wentto the work of designing ongoing TYRC Online Learning Events to respond to your requests on thetopics shared in the evaluation. We encourage you to work closely with your assigned Tribal Youth Resource Center TechnicalAssistance Specialist to identify specific training and resources to fit the needs of your program inorder to grow the vision and purpose of your work in imagining a new future for the youth andfamilies you serve.
