SUMMARY:TYRC Online Learning Event: Our Journey\, Our Story\, Our Voice | March 24\, 2023
DESCRIPTION:Session Description: \nThe Online Learning Event (OLE) is meant to serve as the “next step” in the continued learning conversations between the State and Tribal Relation Assistance Division (STRAD)\, Juvenile Healing to Wellness Court (JHWC)\, and Tribal Youth Program (TY) grantees. The OLE will be facilitated in a panel format and feature two young adult representatives from the Center for the Coordinated Assistance to States (Kyla Woods & Tina Harris) and two Youth Ambassadors from the Tribal Youth Justice Resource Center (Sydney Matheson & Kaitlin Martinez). \n  \nEach of the youth representatives are informed youth leaders who are working in their respective communities to advance the voice and needs of youth. The speakers will share the highlights and positive impacts of contributing and participating in the 2022 OJJDP STRAD & Tribal Youth National Conferences: 1) Meetings with Administrator Ryan and other OJJDP staff; 2) attending STRAD & TY sessions; and 3) being provided a platform to share their lived experiences and vision to contribute in the future to juvenile justice policy\, research\, and program development.
