DESCRIPTION:Date: July 31-August 1\, 2023 \nLocation: Tacoma\, WA \nJoin the Coalition for Juvenile Justice (CJJ) on Monday\, July 31st and Tuesday\, August 1st\, 2023 at the University of Washington in Tacoma\, Washington for this year’s Youth Summit. \n\n\n\nEach year\, CJJ’s Youth Summit brings together young people from across the country who are interested in juvenile justice reform. The Summit aims to cultivate and empower the next generation of leaders by providing them with the tools they need to leverage their lived expertise. Participants will learn the basics of juvenile justice and have the opportunity to delve into more detail about key topics in the field. This event is intended for emerging leaders in the field and is best suited for audiences ages 16-27. \nThe theme of this year’s summit is “Empowering\, Enriching\, and Inspiring Youth: Making Policy Personal.” To learn more\, click here. \nThe Summit is hosted by CJJ’s Emerging Leaders Committee. The Emerging Leaders Committee is a partnership between CJJ and young people who are either directly impacted by or who are passionate about\, the youth legal system.
